I was tasked to create new artwork for the main lobby space at the American Greetings corporate office. The goal was to represent all types of celebrations such as, weddings, birthdays, cultural holidays, pet parties etc.. This was a necessary addition to the space so that investors, retailers, employees understand that AG is a celebration company that brings people together on their happiest days of their lives.
The orginal
The original artwork in the main lobby space of the American Greetings corporate office featured dated card art and was in desperate need of a refresh. As American Greetings moves to being seen more broadly as a celebrations company, rather than just a card company, the new artwork need to feel happy excited and celebratory.
